With another decade approaching, we are soon saying goodbye to 2019. This year has been an exciting year for us at Palermo Law, and we wanted to share with you some of the highlights we had this year.
It is our passion to maximize financial compensation for our clients. Our staff works very hard to make sure clients are treated fairly. We fight for them so they get the money they deserve after facing serious injury, and 2019 was no exception. In fact, this year has been a record breaking year for Palermo Law. This is the best grossing year to date in settling cases for our clients.
Most notably, was a case involving a woman who faced serious injury after a motor vehicle accident. She faced very serious injuries as a result of the accident, with neck injuries and herniated discs. The severity of the injuries required multiple surgeries. Our firm was able to receive a $950,000 settlement from the opposing parties insurance company to compensate for her injuries.
Palermo Law has had five office locations throughout Long Island (Hauppauge, Garden City, Babylon, Patchogue and Huntington). We expand our offices so that it is easier for clients to consult with us, so they can focus on recovering from their injuries. With Patchogue previously being our easternmost office, we felt we could make ourselves more available to the east end of Suffolk County. As a result, in April of 2019, Palermo Law has opened a new office in Riverhead, New York.
To further help the process of recovery and compensation for our clients, we have expanded our staff at the firm. We have a friendly new assistant Shayna and a new associate, Michael Giasullo. Michael (also known as MJ) joined Palermo Law as an associate in September of 2019. Prior to joining Palermo Law, Michael served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the then newly appointed Hon John P. McDonald, J.S.C. in the Superior Court, Family Part, Somerset County New Jersey. Michael is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey and is an active member of the New York Bar Association and American Bar Association. We are excited to have him on our team to help fight on behalf of our clients.
